The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved to Me There’s Life After Death

After my brother died in 2012, I searched for “proof” of where he was at.  I only wanted to know if he was okay.  The author’s description of her own experience with her deceased brother seemed to ring true with my own beliefs.  I often suggest others read this book after a death just to be comforted by the words the author provides.

The author made Billy’s journey come alive.  Her interpretation of her being the good sibling and Billy being the sibling with twisted circumstances placed in his way, was heartfelt.  I cried, laughed, and learned through their journey.

I have an open mind, and I did have signs from my deceased brother.  Things that belonged to him went flying off the shelf several times after he passed.  Coins and feathers were often found.  Some believe these as coincidences or wishful thinking.  But the book provided the message that he was in a wonderful place.  It was his choice to live like he did and he could choose to come to be mortal any time he wanted to.

I think the best part is in the afterlife, I can watch my “life movie.”  I can explore all the good decisions and bad decisions and take a different path.  I can stay in the chamber until I choose to leave.  I can’t wait for that interactive video game.  Through a reference of celestial music, a Mahler piece called Chorus Mysticus, I got to experience what the afterlife may sound like.

Beautiful angelic voices and colorful light are everywhere in the afterlife.

I wish I had read this book years ago or something like it and my brother’s death may have been easier to understand.  The wonder the book provided touched my soul and made a profound difference in the way I feel about death.  Any fears I had of dying are now gone.  I live my life without any regrets or hurtful things that need to be forgiven.  I am ready to die at any time.

The author took a risk by writing this book.  Even in her own writing group, she was prepared for an attack on her beliefs.  But I believe this book has had very successful sales because people are in fact, looking for a glimpse of the afterlife.

I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.  It was a very enjoyable, thought provoking read.  I didn’t want the book to end, and I listened to the Audible book which really makes the book come alive.
